PLUS – Location, location, location! These, bottom of the budget-end of the scale, very basic, beach huts are scattered right on one of the most beautiful beaches in the south of Ko Lanta. This is the rustic beach-hut of Thailand from times gone by. Klong Jark Beach is very quiet, secluded and peaceful with one or two bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk.

MINUS – Many of the huts are pretty run-down and shabby, and the bathrooms bring a new meaning to the concept of ‘basic’ (and are not for the feint-hearted). Whilst the prices are pretty darn low, you can find accommodation of a higher standard for a better price. If you compare these huts, like for like with other accommodation, they are a little over-priced. However, you’d be hard pressed to find anything else in this price-range that is directly on such a prime, beachfront location.
