Simply Life offers cheap, simple, accommodation in the heart of Kantiang Village

Simply Life Bungalows is a small, family-run guesthouse with super-cheap bamboo and concrete bungalows for rent in Kantiang Bay.

Simply Life is situated right across the road from the beach. From their central location they offer three types of bungalow; one concrete, one large bamboo room and five smaller, extremely basic, bamboo huts. All rooms are fan-only with mosquito nets hanging from the rafters and have very basic en-suite bathrooms with cold water shower.

PLUS – If you’re on a shoestring budget, this is the cheapest place to stay in Kantiang Bay. Great central location (under a minute’s walk to the beach), decent restaurant, internet and tour office attached, friendly, helpful owners and located opposite Drunken Sailors, who make the best breakfasts and coffee in the village.

MINUS – The bamboo rooms are pretty rickety and can get quite a damp smell during monsoon season. If having a toilet seat or fully-functioning sink is important to you, pick somewhere else – the bathrooms give a new meaning to the word ‘basic’. Gekkos, crickets, ants, preying mantis – you name it, will visit you fairly regularly as they consider these bungalows to be part of their rainforest!

Simply Life has its own restaurant, a lovely coffee bar and an internet cafe on the main street with paid WIFI – the perfect spot for some people watching over a delicious, fresh-fruit shake!

Simply Life is open throughout high and low season and you can organise Longtail tours on their own Longtail boat with the on-site tour operator. They also have a good selection of cheap motorbikes to rent.
