Top View Resort - low-budget accommodation with fabulous panoramic views

Top View Resort has a total of fourteen rooms with a choice of fan or air-con and double or twin rooms. Each bungalow has an en-suite bathroom, cold water shower and balcony with fabulous, panoramic views that span Ko Rok, Ka Haa and Ko Phi Phi.

Even if you don’t stay here, it’s worth the hike up to the top of the cliff to catch the sunset and amazing panoramic views around the bay.

PLUS – Top Views!! – Some of the best views on the island are to be had here and if you’re looking for basic, cheap accommodation with air-con, it doesn’t get much cheaper. Staff are very charming and friendly, although often not that helpful. Mosquitos are non-existant thanks to the lovely, cool, hill-top breeze!

MINUS – The hike up to the resort is not for everyone and the rooms lack charm and a personal touch. Food in the restaurant is a little unimaginative – although there’s plenty of fantastic eateries within a very short distance. Plumbing and maintenance seem to have been left to the monkeys.

Nine of the fourteen rooms are ‘Concrete’ with optional air con, there are also a few primitive but comfortable ‘Bamboo’ rooms. All rooms have cool tiled floors which extend out to balconies overlooking the truly breathtaking views. Free entertainment is provided by the naughty monkeys, but be warned – swimwear left out to dry can go mysteriously astray!

For the ultimate viewing experience there’s a quaint viewing hut close to the Sud Sud Bar and Top View Restaurant; the ideal spot for a sunset cocktail! The relaxed, friendly atmosphere complements the bamboo bar whilst the carefully poised disco-balls indicate the potential for a party!

Open all year round, Top View Resort offers an internet room, in-house massage facility for those who wish to relax, whilst for the adventurous, a tour operator is also in residence.
